As soon as i begin waiting (begging) for abiding awakening to be given from above i have paused its unfolding. May wise-acceptance be my only endeavor; allowing each moment to be as it is. My duty lies not in the assertion of my will over the moment according to likes and dislikes, but it lies in the degree of wholeness, of loving approval to the moment, no matter its form, either bringing me toward inner Truth or further away from it. Awakening is not bestowed. A seed is already a tree.
“Truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”
